Jimin, a member from the K-pop supergroup has impacted the world forever as he made history by being the only South Korean solo artist to ever land the main spot on the top US song chart, billboard declared on Monday.

This week, Miley Cyrus’ Flowers fell out of first place on Billboard’s Hot 100, where it had dominated for eight weeks, as the single “Like Crazy” debuted at number one.

As per the industry tracker, the track from Jimin’s first solo Face is the 66th track to arrive at the highest point of the Hot 100 chart, which consolidates all-genre US streaming, radio play, and sales data

According to industry sources, Face debuted at number two on Billboard’s main albums chart, surpassing fellow BTS member RM’s Indigo, which debuted at number three in December. This made Face the highest-charting album by a South Korean solo singer.

BTS is regarded as South Korea’s greatest cultural phenomenon to date. The group sold out stadiums all over the world, dominated the charts, generated billions of dollars for the country’s economy, and established an ARMY of worldwide fans(literally).

BTS HIATUS

Due to South Korea’s mandatory military service, the K-pop juggernaut announced a hiatus the previous year.

Following quite a while of discussion with respect to whether BTS deserved an exemption, Jin, the group’s oldest member, enlisted the year before. In South Korea, all able-bodied men have to serve at least 18 months in the military.

Before the delay, BTS sacked six hits on the best position at Hot 100 and every one of the seven individuals from the boyband have arrived at the top melodies diagram with solo tracks, Board said.

According to Billboard, Gangnam Style, a worldwide hit by South Korean rapper Psy, peaked at number two in 2012 prior to BTS’s dominance. Jimin broke this record made by the fellow korean artist by ranking at Numer. 1 on the Infamous Billboard Chart.
